Can you transform business failure into growth opportunities--without toxic positivity?

Hello Reader,

Have you experienced failure as a business owner?

I have! On both a large and small scale.

In August 2020, I exited my thriving group practice prematurely, which is perhaps the biggest business failure I've experienced, but second to that was the Steadicam business my (now ex) husband and I owned in the early 90s. I actually feel worse about that failure than the more recent one.

But I've had failed launches and offers and programs many times since I opened my private therapy practice in 2013.

Starcycle is an organization that makes the difficult parts of windup easier, so their clients can get back to doing what they love, faster.

I met the founder, Jaclyn Siu, on LinkedIn and I was impressed by how Starcycle demonstrates such care for her clients' mental health.

I'm grateful she invited me to write about failure for the Starcycle blog: How to Transform Business Failure into Growth Opportunities--without toxic positivity.

How can we all navigate failure with more compassion, resilience, and growth, while at the same time protecting our peace of mind as founders?

Warmly,
